Training Centre Offerings

 

Due to a variety of factors, some learners cannot cope with the demands of an Academic curriculum and / or are more orientated towards Training Centre subjects.  We strive to be able to offer as many accredited Training Centre subjects as we can even though this section of the school is not covered by the Department of Education subsidy.


  • Candlemaking (NQF accredited)
  • Upholstery (NQF accredited)
  • Literacy in English (ABET NQF 1-4 accredited)
  • Numeracy (ABET NQF 1-4 accredited)
  • Woodwork
  • Stained Glass
  • Business Studies (NQF accredited)
  • Welding (NQF accredited)
  • Industrial Cleaning and Hygiene (Services SETA registered)
  • Cooking
  • Sewing

 

The overall aim is to get all these Training Centre offerings NQF accredited so that school-leavers leave school with nationally recognised qualifications.
Offerings differ from year-to-year depending on the composition of the classes in the Training Centre.
